Last updated: 11 May 2026 · Version 1.0
FITTIE.ai ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect your information when you use our website fittie.ai and the FITTIE mobile application (collectively, the "Services").
1. Who we are
FITTIE.ai is a fitness application based in Australia, operated by FITTIE.ai. References in this policy to "Australia" mean the Commonwealth of Australia.
2. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of personal information:
- Identity & contact data: name, email address, and any other details you submit through our waitlist or signup forms.
- Profile & fitness data: age, gender, fitness goals, activity level, training schedule, equipment preferences, body metrics, workout history, and self-reported data you provide inside the app.
- Health & wellbeing data: menstrual cycle phase (where you opt in to cycle-aware features), perceived effort, sleep notes and recovery feedback. We treat this as sensitive information under the Privacy Act.
- Technical data: IP address, device type, browser, operating system, referring URLs, time zone, and pages or features used.
- Usage data: session frequency, in-app activity, feature interactions and crash/diagnostic information.
- Marketing preferences: your communication and consent choices.
3. How we collect it
We collect personal information directly from you when you join the waitlist, sign up for the app, complete onboarding, log workouts, contact us, or interact with our website. We also collect technical and usage data automatically via cookies and analytics tools (see our Cookies Policy).
4. Why we collect it
- To create and manage your account and waitlist registration.
- To deliver personalised training and nutrition plans built around your goals.
- To improve our AI models, products and user experience.
- To send launch announcements, founder updates and (with your consent) marketing communications.
- To comply with our legal obligations, prevent fraud and resolve disputes.
5. Sensitive information
Where the Services collect health or cycle-related information, we treat that data as "sensitive information" under the Privacy Act. We will only collect such information with your express consent, and only use it for the specific purpose you provided it for.
6. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Trusted service providers who help us operate the Services (e.g. cloud hosting, email delivery via Mailchimp, analytics, customer support tooling). These providers are contractually bound to protect your information.
- Government, regulatory or law enforcement bodies where required by Australian law.
- Professional advisers (lawyers, auditors) where strictly necessary.
- A successor entity in the event of a business sale, merger or restructure (with continued privacy protections).
7. Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers (e.g. Mailchimp) are located outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. By using the Services you consent to your personal information being transferred to, and processed in, these jurisdictions. We take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients comply with the APPs.
8. Data security
We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls and routine security reviews — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection against unlawful access.
9. Data retention
We retain personal information only as long as needed to provide the Services and meet our legal obligations. When no longer required, your information will be de-identified or securely destroyed.
10. Your rights
Under Australian privacy law you may, at any time, request to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct any inaccurate or out-of-date information.
- Withdraw consent for marketing communications.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Make a complaint about how we have handled your information.
To exercise any of these rights, email admin@fittie.ai. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe (generally within 30 days).
11. Cookies and tracking
For details about how we use cookies and similar technologies, see our Cookies Policy.
12. Children
The Services are not intended for individuals under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated by email or via a prominent notice on our website.
14. Complaints and contact
If you have a privacy concern, please contact us first: admin@fittie.ai. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.
